Janalee’s Story

“I feel left out and alone and I feel like an idiot. “

What kind of stigma did you experience/observe?

I experience bipolar disorder.

Stigma story

I feel left out and alone and I feel like an idiot. Like no one cares or even understands how I feel. It’s just like sea water making its way on the sand like it doesn’t care if the sand feels okay with it or not. I’m not sure if u understand what I’m saying but yeah that’s how I feel.
It became an extremely hostile environment that only exacerbated my condition. I keep trying to fight, because this isn’t right, but there’s only so much you can do before you’re completely beaten down.

What could someone have said/done to make it OK?

To be honest if they can be there for me whenever I need guidance and a shoulder to lean on.
