Thomas’ Story

“If we work together we can all make it.”

Share your stigma experience.

I was really falling apart and my drug use exacerbated my emotions. I attempted suicide. I went to the nearest Mental Health Facility for treatment. I learned I have Bipolar, and addiction. It took 2 yrs for me to come to grips with my meds, and condition. I want to help locally, because there’s not enough knowledge to our smaller communities.

How did you overcome this experience?

Receiving treatment at my hospital, and taking medication have helped me. I’ll make it if I am involved and have a support system.

Help others by sharing a brief, positive message.

If we work together we can all make it. Help each other.
