Taylor’s Story

“Without struggle-there is no progress.”

Share your stigma experience.

I am a survivor of anorexia and bulimia eating disorders. I struggled with this for many years, until I eventually realized it was slowly killing me. I could go days and days without eating, and if I did eat, I would purge. There were days I would run so many miles and worry about my weight that I would forget to even go to class. At my lowest point, I was weighing myself around 40 times daily.

How did you overcome this experience?

I did get to the point of having to go to treatment. I went for about 2 months straight. I did gain some weight back and got the right kind of help that my mind truly needed.

Help others by sharing a brief, positive message.
